Statement of Purpose
MNCommunities.org is an effort at helping micronationalists and geofictionalists to have a safe, secure space for their projects. MNCommunities aims to provide individuals with options that puts them in control of their projects, while providing technical and administrative support when requested. MNCommunities also aims to promote its communities through Google Adwords and other web marketing campaigns to help attract participants to the many different projects hosted here and the the hobby in general.

MNCommunities.org is currently managed by two administrators: Edgard and Harald. Each community hosted here has its own administrators and moderators. None of the MNCommunity admin necessarily (they may in some, not all) have admin or mod powers in the forums, blogs or sites that belong to the projects hosted here.

  • MNCommunties strongly affirms maintaining, using and bringing focus back to Hub.MN as our central hub for all micronationalists and geofictionalists participating in Micras and beyond.
  • MNCommunties affirms the need to maintain MicrasWiki as a central wiki for all micronationalists and geofictionalists participating in Micras and beyond.
Our Webhost
MNCommunities is hosted on Globat.com.

Benefits
Having your project hosted on MNCommunities brings the following benefits:

  1. Dedicated web space for your geofictional project - this includes space for a WordPress blog and a forum. We can set up MyBB, phpBB3, SMF, PunBB, Vanilla Forums.
  2. Full FTP access to your project's folder within MNCommunities.
  3. A free MNCommunity web address as follows: [nameofnation].mncommunities.org. (Ex. hamland.mncommunities.org) You get to decide where the domain points (to the forum, to a blog, a webpage, etc.)
  4. Full, independent administrative control of the blog and forums. Separate arrangements may be made to allow a MNCommunity webmaster admin access to your blog or form for maintenance, or to adjust this provision to fit the project needs.
  5. Being automatically part of all MNCommunity efforts to promote itself and attract participants to the community, and input on these marketing campaigns.
  6. Use of an @mncommunities.org email address. In the past these have been used as forwarding addresses to other email addresses, for example.

How to get your project hosted on MNCommunities.org
To get your project hosted at MNCommunities.org, you can create a new topic in this forum and introduce yourself, tell us about your project and the details of your needs. We want this process to remain informal and laidback, a conversation to see if what MNCommunities offers would be a good fit for you. Please note however that we will be looking also for specific details on how you hope to add to MNCommunities.org and what you bring to the table.

If you need a form - you can use this one if you need to:
Quote:Name:
Full name of micronation/project:

1. Brief description of your project, what your needs are, etc:

2. If we hosted your project, how would you be able to contribute to MNCommunities:

3. Would you be able at any point to contribute financially for the upkeep of MNCommunities (please explain):

Code:
Name:
Full name of micronation/project:

1. Brief description of your project, what your needs are, etc:

2. If we hosted your project, how would you be able to contribute to MNCommunities:

3. Would you be able at any point to contribute financially for the upkeep of MNCommunities (please explain):

Some things to consider:
  • We will only host projects that will remain active and participating here on the MNCommunities forums, and adhere/agree to the MNCommunities.org statement of purpose.
  • We will only host projects in which the project owner/administrator will actually deliver in his commitment to contribute and grow the MNCommunities site and community.
  • We limit things available to set up for a project to a blog and a forum only.
